Research Use Disclaimer
Pept products are sold for laboratory research use only. This page keeps that restriction explicit and easy to find.
01
Scope of this disclaimer
This Research Use Disclaimer applies to every product, product page, image, document, communication, and other item made available by Pept through this website. It should be read together with the Terms of Service, Waiver Agreement, Shipping Policy, and Refund and Returns Policy.
Accessing the catalog or purchasing, possessing, or handling a Pept product confirms that you understand and accept the restrictions described here.
02
Strictly for laboratory research
All Pept products are offered strictly as experimental materials for lawful laboratory, analytical, or in-vitro research conducted by qualified persons in appropriate research settings.
Products are not intended for human or animal consumption, administration, implantation, injection, ingestion, inhalation, topical application, veterinary use, clinical use, household use, food use, cosmetic use, or any other use in or on a person or animal.
- Not for use as a drug, biologic, dietary supplement, food, cosmetic, medical device, or veterinary product.
- Not for compounding, pharmacy preparation, self-experimentation, bodybuilding, wellness, or performance-enhancement purposes.
- Not for diagnosis, treatment, cure, mitigation, or prevention of any disease or condition.
- Not for resale, relabeling, or distribution for any prohibited purpose.
03
No regulatory approval
Unless expressly stated in a final product-specific document, Pept products have not been reviewed or approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration or any other regulatory authority for safety, effectiveness, diagnosis, treatment, prevention, human use, veterinary use, or commercial therapeutic application.
A product's presence in the catalog, chemical identity, published research history, or availability for sale does not mean that the product is approved, safe, effective, sterile, suitable for any clinical purpose, or appropriate for any particular research protocol.
04
Website information is not medical advice
Website content is provided for general educational, product-identification, and research-context purposes only. It is not medical, veterinary, legal, regulatory, or laboratory-safety advice.
Nothing on the site should be interpreted as a recommendation to use a product, a dosing instruction, a route-of-administration instruction, a treatment protocol, a representation of clinical benefit, or a substitute for advice from a licensed professional or an institution's safety and compliance personnel.
05
No research outcome warranty
References to mechanisms, pathways, targets, published studies, or areas of scientific interest describe research topics and do not predict or guarantee any result. Experimental findings may vary by model, methodology, storage, handling, analytical technique, and other conditions.
Pept does not warrant that a product will be suitable for a particular experiment, produce a particular result, remain stable outside stated conditions, or be compatible with any protocol, instrument, reagent, or research objective.
06
Researcher qualifications and duties
The purchaser and end user are solely responsible for determining whether they are legally and technically qualified to acquire and handle each product. Products must be handled only by trained personnel using appropriate facilities, engineering controls, procedures, and personal protective equipment.
Before ordering or handling a product, the researcher must independently evaluate hazards and suitability, review available documentation, and comply with applicable laws, carrier rules, institutional policies, biosafety requirements, and environmental and waste-disposal obligations.
07
Documentation and analytical limits
Product descriptions, certificates, images, labels, specifications, and storage information should be evaluated as part of a researcher's own quality and risk assessment. No single document replaces independent verification or a protocol-specific suitability review.
Any certificate of analysis or third-party laboratory result, when made available, applies only to the identified sample or batch and the stated tests. It does not establish safety for human or animal use, clinical suitability, regulatory approval, sterility, or the absence of every possible contaminant.
08
Prohibited orders and use
Pept may refuse, limit, hold, or cancel an order when information suggests a prohibited use, inadequate qualification, unlawful destination, sanctions concern, fraud risk, or other compliance issue.
The purchaser may not market, transfer, resell, relabel, or represent a Pept product as safe or effective for human or animal use. The purchaser must prevent access by children, unauthorized persons, and anyone who lacks appropriate training.
09
Emergency and exposure information
Pept does not provide emergency, poison-control, or clinical treatment services. In the event of suspected exposure, misuse, ingestion, injection, inhalation, or other contact involving a person or animal, contact local emergency services, a poison-control center, or an appropriate licensed medical or veterinary professional immediately.
Do not rely on website content or customer support as a substitute for urgent professional assistance.
10
Third-party materials and changes
Links, citations, studies, or third-party materials may be provided for convenience. Pept does not control or endorse all third-party content and is not responsible for its accuracy, availability, conclusions, or later revision.
Pept may revise this disclaimer as products, operations, or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version. Questions about these restrictions may be submitted through the contact page.
